MSc in Finance

Overview

MSc in Finance is a Master of Science in Finance program which also gives its students the knowledge and skills required to prepare for the CFA program examinations to receive the CFA charter, a globally recognized, professional financial designation.

By enrolling, you may study business administration, financial management, investment management courses and earn MSc degree from the UFE in two years. Furthermore, students will take CFA exam preparation courses for two of the three exams required to receive the CFA charter. These in-class courses will utilize contents specially prepared for CFA examinations, including video lectures and practice exams.

MSc in Finance Program provides a strong foundation of advanced investment analysis and real-world portfolio management skills that will give you an advantage at all stages of your career.

  • In 2014, BBA program of UFE in Financial Management became the first from Mongolia to be recognized by the CFA Institute.

  • Students will take 16 courses, constituting 46 credit hours. Students may take the CFA exam in other countries.
  • CFA exam preparation courses are taught by experienced teachers from UFE, who also have completed CFA level 1, 2, or 3 examinations.
  • MSc courses are taught by professors with extensive experience and knowledge in their field of research.
The 16 courses consist of 5 professional core courses and 13 specialized courses, from which 8 courses will be CFA oriented. The program is structured in modules and each module has two courses which will continue for 8 weeks. The non-CFA-oriented MSc courses are: Professional core courses

In addition to the eight courses above, students may choose CFA-oriented exam preparation courses for Level I and Level II. Each level preparation consists of four courses which will cover all 10 topics from the exam.
The graduation project for MSc in Finance program students will be writing project based thesis will be awarded as Master of Science in Finance.
  • A Bachelor Degree in Business Administration of Accounting from a recognized university
  • Higher than 2.75 GPA.
  • Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency
